Introduction

In order to enhance the consistent role of Macao as a bridge between China and Europe and considerably ever-increasing relations between China and Europe and the world, there is a need to establish Master degree Programme of European Union Law, International Law and Comparative Law to turn out more qualified jurists, professionals and academics in these fields.
This programme is established since Academic Year 2003/2004 which aims to provide quality education and training in the fields of European Union Law, International Law and Comparative Law, and to maintain and enhance the position of the Faculty of Law of University of Macau as an important institute for the studies of Macao Law, European Continental Law, International Law and Comparative Law in the regional areas as well as this global world.

Programme Intended Learning Outcomes

  • Demonstrate a solid advanced and integrated theoretical and practical knowledge in the selected courses;
  • Explain the concepts, theories and instruments underlying the specialized courses of the area of their major field of study;
  • Illustrate the capacity to write legal instruments or briefs for legal proceedings in the areas of European Law, International Law and Comparative Law;
  • Compile independent research and original academic work in the areas of European Law, International Law and Comparative Law.
